What exactly does Oriscan AI check?

Margin continuity, occlusion clearance (0.5–1.5mm depending on crown type), undercuts on prep, missing abutments for bridges, inter-proximal contacts, and Rx consistency (e.g., flags if the scan shows tooth 26 but the Rx says tooth 27).

How accurate is Oriscan AI ?

Internal testing shows 95%+ catch rate on margin errors and 92%+ on occlusion issues. Oriscan AI learns from your overrides and improves over time.

Can Oriscan AI design the crown for me?

For simple cases (single crowns, single veneers), yes — see our auto-design feature on the Automation plan. For complex cases, Oriscan AI hands the scan to your CAD designer with the flags highlighted.

Is my scan data used to train a shared model?

No. Each lab’s Oriscan AI tunes on that lab’s cases only. We do not train cross-lab models without explicit opt-in.

What happens when Oriscan AI is wrong?
